Charming Cabin on Stunning Branch Lake in Ellsworth, Maine
Loon's
Nest Cabin is perched on the shore of pristine (8 mile long) Branch
Lake, which is 12 miles from downtown Ellsworth and 20 miles from Acadia
National Park. This cozy 3 bedroom rustic camp is nestled under the
pines, with stunning views across the lake to Great Brook Hill.
Enjoy
fantastic swimming, fishing, kayaking, and canoeing, directly off the
dock (small walkway and ramp to a 4' x 10' float, good for swimming and
docking a canoe or other small boat) into the crystal waters of one of
the most scenic lakes in Downeast Maine.
Explore nearby Acadia
National Park, Bar Harbor, and the other waterfront and wilderness
beauty of the Maine Woods, or just spend your days grilling on the porch
and recharging your spirit.
The Cabin has a full sized
electric oven and fridge, wood burning stove, hot water, and a full
bathroom. Rental includes an aluminum canoe, with boat-launch access
and dock space available for other small boats. Loon's Nest is easily
accessible from Bangor, Blue Hill, and Ellsworth and from flights
arriving into Bangor International Airport and Bar Harbor Airport.
Weekly rentals only (one week minimum, no shorter stays, sorry).
Check in at 4PM on Saturday and check out at 12PM the following week.
Cabin water is from the lake, not suitable for drinking (bring bottled).
Great lake for kayaking, bring your own or rent from our friends who will deliver and pick up kayaks to our front door.
